While such gabfests draw their share of listeners, a diverse lineup is likely to attract more ears, hence more advertisers and more dollars. And isn’t that what the radio conglomerates want anyway?

First, no one gave conservative talkers dominance, they earned it by providing a product that listeners wanted, and numbers that attracted advertisers.

If diversity would attract more listeners, then you can be sure the free market would provide it.  Much like the auto industry would have made more hybrid cars in past decades , if there were enough people who wanted to purchase them.

But anyone who would suggest the Fairness Doctrine is a financially sound idea, has no idea what the free market is.  They’re also complete idiots, or at the very least, thing the majority of Americans are.

Censuring Obama’s grandmother:

She is being censured by the police so that she does not say anything - a slip of a tongue may occur - that may reveal the identity and birth place of her grandson. If she were to say something in the line of - another citizenship, or that he was born in Kenya or Hawaii  and adopted by a foreigner, and Obama is elected, that may create a constitutional crisis in the US because that will open for lawsuits to ensure Obama is not sworn in as President.

The report says she will be allowed to speak to the media on the 5th of November - a presumption that she will be telling the media of the grandson’s victory in America. It is understood that she has assembled a delegation of 30 people and tickets already paid for in order to travel to the US on the 6th of November to attend what they say will be Obama’s victory celebration.

I will make a note here, that API, has been engaging in very odd, inappropriate behavior, regarding the release of the Michelle Obama tapes. (if they exist) So I am reluctant to use them as a source.

The above story seemed important enough the post.  It appears, with the discovery of Obama’s aunt and uncle in Boston, that every one of his relatives have been gagged.  What do these people know.  And does Obama think that if he wins the Presidency, that he will be sworn in if it comes out he is ineligible to have run in the first place?

From the very beginning, API has behaved in a very odd manner.  They have taken to publishing more emails from readers, regarding the tapes, that genuine African news stories.  They have spent much of the last week reporting on themselves, than any other news.

Do these tapes exist?  I hope they do.  Will they be released in time to effect the election?  That seems unlikely, unless FOX NEWS is waiting to air them tonight, and make the rest of the weekend about Michelle Obama story, and nothing else.

Regardless of what happens, I feel that this event has been ridiculously mishandled by API.  If the tapes exist, instead of speeding their release, they have drawn out the matter, allowing API to become the news story, and the American people to be kept in the dark about the most radical, and possibly unqualified, candidate in our modern history to seek the office of the President.

As a news group, the API should report the news, not supress it so they can become the story.

Just my opinion.

SECNAV Names New Zumwalt-Class Destroyer USS Michael Monsoor

Secretary of the Navy, Donald C. Winter announced last night at a Navy SEAL Warrior Fund Benefit Gala at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City, the name of the newest Zumwalt-class Destroyer will be USS Michael Monsoor.

Designated as DDG- 1001, the name honors Petty Officer 2^nd Class Michael Monsoor, a Navy SEAL who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions in Ramadi, Iraq, on Sept. 29, 2006.

“Tonight I would like to single out one of those heroes from the community of Navy SEAL’s,” Winter said. “Those who served with Michael Monsoor will remember him always as a consummate professional who faced terrorist enemies with aplomb and stoicism.”

“The full extent of Michael’s courage, gallantry, and self-less heroism were revealed on the 29^th of September, in Ramadi. When his team was surprised by an enemy grenade, Michael could have escaped and saved himself,” Winter said. “But he chose a different path, a path of honor that embodies the way of a Navy SEAL. For having chosen that path, Petty Officer Michael Monsoor joined the ranks of those who have earned our nation’s highest distinction, the Medal of Honor.”

Winter concluded that Michael Monsoor’s heroism and self sacrifice for his teammates and his nation epitomize the Navy’s core values, and will forever provide prideful admiration for our sailors.

“Michael Monsoor’s name will now be linked with one of our nation’s most visible examples of military power, a U.S. Navy warship,” Winter said. “His legacy will inspire the hearts of future Sailors who serve on the ship that bears his name.”

Six hours after the release of information by API on the planned broadcast by Fox News Network of the Michelle Obama tape, in accordance with an agreement that has been reached between API and Fox News Network, API was contacted by Obama’s Campaign Manager.

Obama’s campaign manager contacted API by telephone and email offering 3 million US dollars followed with a request to API to cancel the deal with Fox News Network.  (API)

Finally, a release announcement from the ever cryptic and bizarre API:

The agreement stipulates that any information on the day and hour the tape will be aired will only be announce 15 minutes to the airing time. This was agreed upon to avoid any pressure being directed to Fox News Network by individuals who would want to get the details about the tape in question.

The airing of the tape can take place any time from this day and due to its sensitivity, people who will inquire from Fox News and API for details will either get a no comment answer or that there is no agreement on the table.
